Four former officers of a elite unit of the Portuguese Armed Forces get together every year to remember and commemorate their participation in the Colonial War (1961-1974).


Unemployed war heroes, they fail to adapt to civilian life, victims of post-war trauma. In the summer of 1985, boredom and inaction pushes them into a series of violent incidents.


A police inspector who is about to retire is prompted to investigate one of these incidents. He comes across the four men and finds out an ingenious plan for a bank robbery...
