The Portuguese Film Week

Vítor Norte
The 7th Portuguese Film Week -to open at Tel Aviv Cinematheque on Monday, 12 September- will be dedicated to one of the most talented and influential Portuguese actors: Vítor Norte. This year's edition of the Film Week focus on the “Estado Novo” –Salazar’s forty-year long dictatorship; most of the films are based on true events directly or indirectly related to this controversial page of Portugal's history. Vítor Norte, who will be present at the opening sessions of the 7th Portuguese Film Week in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem (12, 13, and 14 September), participates in four out of the five films, either in the leading role or in a secondary role.

In this space you will find information about the films, venues and dates. The site will be updated with all the revelevant details.

Portuguese cinema -and Portugal- welcome you at the Cinematheques.
